Hi Guys

Been causally looking around for Butane/Propane mix gas cannisters for those cheap $20 stoves.
They are a long cylindrical can holding 220g.

Had a stack last year, and have been to several victorian camping
places recently , but it appears that everyone appears to only stock the butane only versions now.
Kmart even used to have them in 80/20 mix, which I'd buy but Kovea make them in 70/30 mix which is best.

Willing to buy in bulk if anyone has contact for Kovea preferably in Victoria.

Anaconda has a large range of their gear.

You could try "Grant Minervini Agencies" here in South Australia who are the distributors for Kovea.

Thanks will keep that distributor in mind.

Anaconda and others have lots of there product , including there squat cannisters but no one stocks there actual 220g cannisters that I'm aware of.

From a fair bit of looking at this and other things I get the impression that the market is being "dumbed down" and you take the $1.50 chinese ones or nothing.

never seen butane/propane mix only butane. Would have happily paid more for mix with propane. Butane only is a pain.

same here i have never seen the b/p mix in northern nsw been buying it for a few years. also never seen chinese butane, all my canisters say korean. regularly buy it at big w or k mart. as it doesn't work at low temps. maybe they have different product for different climatic areas.
took mine to the simpson this year but useless in early morning at 0 deg

Have some (well over a hundred) 80/20 mix cans in my hands thanks to leads from Olcoolone in this post.

After some calls and emails found distributor number 1800-882-058 and they told me they no longer import Kovea cans as to expensive and use 80/20 mix.
Brought a stack of these cans, as off-line a couple of others wanted to be in on the party, and with shipping from adelaide to melb they still cost me less than supermarket prices.

Thanks Again
