G'day all. Was wondering which place to access the coast from, Hells Gate or Wollogorang? Anyone been out there recently? Is one better for fishing than the other? Is one cheaper than the other? Any and all comments much appreciated. Thanks. Tim.

Wollogorang is the answer.
Been there last year. There is a track that goes
all the way to the beach. There is a sandy crossing so
heavy camper is a no no .
Need to leave deposit ( bond really) for rubbish which you get back
when you bring your rabbish with you.
Wollogorang station has a bar and camping area with showers.
Note : fuel very expensive - $1.45 per litre of diesel.

Comparing the 2 places is like (facilities' wise) chalk & cheese. I stayed in Hells Gate last year & facilities were MUCH better than at Wollogorang.

Access to the coast I know nought about - was on our way to Lawn Hill via Kingfisher & Bowthorn(spelling?) so ...

I think there was a charge per day but not sure how much ( $20 ?).
As for compering Hells Gate to Wollogorang , I fuelled up at Hells Gate but
did not see anything other then a pub with 2 fuel pumps . Did not see any access to Gulf waters. How was this MUCH better then Wollogorang I don't know.

Wish that people that say that one place was MUCH better then the other at least were more specific.
