I recently asked for feedback about an outfit called Gold Prospecting Australia who conduct prospecting tours and training.
Willie gave them a good wrap.
My bride and I just did a weekend with them at Wedderburn (Vic).
Of the 7 in the group, 4 of us had never seen a detector before, the others had brought one second hand but wanted to know how to use it.
We had a couple of hours talking through the basics of detecting, then out in the bush using their gear, with Mark and his partner Rhonda working with us as much as we needed.
All up the group came up with 5 bits totalling about 2.5 grams (one nugget was 1.2 grams), so the "catch" was not great, but we were all rapt.
I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of Mark and Rhonda. They are very nice people to boot. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to look into gold propecting.
(Not tied to GPA in any way, just a very satisfied customer)
By the way, on the way home yesterday, called into CoilTech and brought a Minelab 4500 and full kit, so need to find some serious nuggets now.
Cheers
Jeff

Had a great time on the detecting tagalong run by Gold Prospecting Australia . I got 14 nuggets , the largest of which was 5 gm .
For nine days , the fourteen people in the group found approx 230 nuggets for about 66 gm . The nuggets were very small and were more "pieces" or "flakes" than nuggets . It was a real challenge to "hear" such small targets - especially for me , as I'm a bit deaf . One lady managed to get 40 pieces and she was really talented .
We detected in a different area everyday so it was interesting . I took my van , as did two other couples . Most of the campertrailer people went fully catered (food , dunnies , showers etc ).
Drank too much and stayed up around the fire too long .
Cheers ,

Taking Great Photos
Photography is a way some people record the places they've been, special moments in life, or is a way to express creativity. No two people see the world in the same way and this is evident in the various styles and views people show in their photographs. Since the popularity of digital cameras, more people are enjoying photography and sharing photos via computers, emails and websites.
