This is a
camp spot in an old
gravel pit only a kilometre off the Tanami Road. The site is sheltered from the road and passing traffic by the
Selby Hills and is quite picturesque (considering it's a gravel scrape).
There is absolutely no firewood about so pick up a bit
well before turning in. The track to the site is quite discernible and is situated on the north side of the Tanami Road only 600 metres west of the Balgo Community Turn off ( turnoff - 19°52'42.30"S 128°11'47.80"E)
There are absolutely no facilities at this site - It's a
gravel pit!
