Information

The Cunnamulla Fella" a song written by Stan Coster in the 1950's and performed by the late Slim Dusty. Following Slim Dusty's passing, the Paroo Shire Council held a nationwide competition to come up with a sketch of what people imagined the Cunnamulla Fella would look like. After the winner was chosen the sketch was sent off to Archie St.Clair, St.Clair built the Cunnamulla Fella in his studio in Grapevine, Texas. When the monument was finally completed, it was shipped to Cunnamulla and unvieled on the 18th Nov 2005.
The Cunnamulla Fella is the larrikin in all Australians.
