This location provides a
great camp site in the lee of a small rocky ridge. It is approximately 18 kilometres from the
Great Central Road Intersection and only a couple of hundred metres prior to the bend in the
Hunt Oil Road where it veers from it's north westerly track to head more north. There is ample firewood and the worn
sandstone bluffs are riddled with small caves that provide shelter to local wallabies and other wildlife. The low ridge offers a good place to watch the sun set. In late June, 2008, this section of the Hunt (the first 20 km) were in excellent condition and suitable for all vehicles. Conditions become poorer a few more kilometres north.
