Not quite right.
If you want to use a fox box and a VAST box at the same time you will need two cables as Rod has explained earlier.

The reason is the VAST system uses vertical polarisation and the Fox box uses Horizontal and you cannot get both at the same time from a single outlet LNB

Rod's advice is spot on so follow that and you will have no problems.

This is what I said and it's assuming it's a STD fox box. If it's the HD it requires two cables plus one for the Vast box.

Oh and as far as vert/horiz, this has nothing to do with the purpose of this thread but to only cause confusion.

Our Mystar HD Austar/Fox Box runs out of a single outlet LNB but all this means is that you lose the Recording facility. So a Dual LNB would run both (without Record)
If you wish to Record then you would need to run the three cables

You can also have both boxes connected (but one running) running a single LNB by way of a 2ghz splitter with power pass on both ports.

Thank you to everybody who replied great feedback,i have another question to ask i have purchased a new tv for the van it has red green and blue audio cables at the back the old tv had red yellow and white,i know cant get AV do i need to change these cables.

Does your new TV have HDMI connectors? This is the best way to go, particularly if you want to watch High Definition.

Red Green and Blue are Component connectors. Not Audio.

What other inputs does it have Y R W are video and audio.

Most newer TV's have Hdmi and are best provided your other boxes also have it as well

Yeah run the HDMI cable as this provides the best quality. HDMI leads are pretty easy to get, even from some supermarkets.

If it does have component (video red, green, blue) you should also have a red and white port for the left/right audio input or RGB/DVI.

Some TV's use the red from the red green blue as the video input so if you only have a red white and yellow lead, put the yellow into the red port of the RGB and the red/white leads into the red/white audio in and give that a try.

If you have any more difficulty, provide the full model number and we can look it up online.

The TV is a Palsonic TFTV8072m DLED TV,DVD Player Combo.
I ran a HDMI cable from the back of my Vast DSD4121 to the back of my Tv which has 3 HDMI plugs which i tried all of them and none would give me AV so i can watch satellite TV
The tv runs fine but as i said it wont allow me to watch satellite tv, the only difference between this tv is the plugs the old one had yellow white and red,this one has red blue and green.

Did you try all three HDMI inputs on your TV? Did you go into 'input' on your TV remote and select the corresponding HDMI?

On the side of the TV is an AV jack. This is a point where you connect an AV lead with on the other end is your white red yellow to the lower connections on the DSD4121.

AV:
"VIDEO : Connect to video output terminal of external devices.

R/L AUDIO in : Connect to the audio output terminal of external devices.(shared with YPbPr)"

I'm not sure what you mean by "none would give me AV so i can watch satellite TV".
If you have an HDMI lead you do not need any other input leads of whatever colour. Make sure you select whichever HDMI port you plug into in your TV setup screen. Consult your instruction manual to see how.

Sorry, rereading your post, you tried all three HDMI.

In 'input' on your remote HDMI, 1,2 or 3 needs to be selected.

There are usually pictures showing how to connect various combinations and then it tells you which input to select to get a picture.

You have to turn the input unit on first then select either HDMI 1,2 or 3 depending on which you plugged into. A look around the back will tell you LOL

You may have to tell your box which output to use but not usually.

Yeah and going into input in most TV's, the connection is highlighted.
