Comment: Burton's Perth to Cape York – Cape Leveque, Broome 9-13 July 2012 Day

no worries Phill - my experience with the Cruiser (and I've read in few 4WD articles) is that you won't need diff lockers. The cost won't justify the small benefit. The electronic controls, coupled with the centre diff lock, tyre pressure management are all we really needed for most conditions. The modern tractions controls go along way to preventing wheel spin which may be enough. They are not as effective as diff lockers, but it could be enough given the expense involved for the gain. The Qld black soil would have even defeated diff lockers I'm sure. The suspension upgrade is a must. We fitted Old Man Emu coils, shockies and air bags and haven't looked back. We could travel over extremely rough ground doing 60-70kph without discomfort when others were feeling it at 30kph. Enjoy your travels! Mike
