Our Forced Retreat to The Flinders Ranges

Like any trip that I plan, the weather will play a very important factor in the successful outcome of the trip. For the months leading up to our proposed trip to visit friends on the Birdsville

Stephen when I said about adding photos you didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed the read. Amazing how quickly the landscape changes before, during and after a quick storm. We've only done a very quick trip in and out of the Ranges and it is an area that we MUST go back and explore. I use the Elders Weather site as well and find it very helpful when trip planning.

Hi Duncan

Thanks for that and it is one location that you can just keep going back to time after time. We use the Elders site all the time and find it very helpful and get to trust what is going to happen in the weather pattern.

We have another good trip in early August, so the Elders site will be relied on, and we hope that we do not get that type of rain then.
