Comment: The Dowling Track SW Queensland

Wife Julie and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Kilcowera this year as the climax of our trip along the Binns Track in the NT. We were camped at Egret Camp, right on the lagoon, and our two day/night stay there was a major highlight. We also did the mud map tour out to the lake, including such charmingly named places as 'Rustlers' Roost' and 'Murder Bore'. I caught (and ate) yabbies for the first time in my life, and later that night enjoyed a camp oven dinner with Toni, Greg, their guests, and a channel 7 'Qld Weekend' crew who were there as well. We plan to return to Kilcowera when we are up that way again. If you like Farmstay places, you'll love everything about a Kilcowera stay.
