Be careful starting something which has "nothing". That indicates the
battery isn't being part of the charging circuit if it happens that way. Very similar thing happened recently to friend of
mine going to
Adelaide, before the Wuhan Flu. RACV man didn't
check battery at all, just said flat, but if started 20 mins before.
Battery failed totally failed RACV genius started the car with a Lithium Whiz Bang and said OK to drive, so they did, to
Adelaide. 600km away. A while after it was noticed the Climate control wasn't working, OH
well! Got to Adeleaide after NOT switching off vehicle the whole way and found the SA Merc dealer reported, New
battery AND $4000 + for a new climate control system. RACV removal of starter and subsequent voltage flare of the alt system totalled the Climate control. Expensive, if you don't
check the
battery can actually act as a
battery, it seems. Just a jump start may be the beginning of problems for the uninitiated.
