We would like to take our caravan to Stradbroke Island especially as they have a special offer this winter, take the car and the caravan travels free.
It seems that dogs are OK at the beach camping areas (we have a miniature poodle) but not in the town camping sites/caravan parks.
Would we get our Ford Everest towing a 21ft semi offroad caravan to the beach camping sites or is the sand too soft for full size vans?

You’ll definitely get your van on the beach areas. We went with our boys and doggy.

Flinders beach is the easiest and there is plenty of choice. Some easier access than others but you can see for yourself when you get there. Check tide times and let tyres down.

The ocean beach sites were up on the dunes and you’d probably struggle to get your van up there.
