ExplorOz Sync

I have added some photos to personal places in ExplorOz Traveller. They are not synching and therefore saving to the place. Won’t synch on wifi connection at home nor via Telstra data on the SIM in my iPad. Is there a way to make the data sync?

Works ok on my ipad, are you using the correct procedure ? Once you have created the place tap on its map icon then tap SHOW now you will see Add Photo tap on it and select the photo from your photos app then Done , that should do it. Make sure you’re using your offline maps.

Doing exactly that. Photos show a red circle ( two arrows) and then when you tap on the photo it opens up and says Synch pending in red on the top left.

Using the app on my iPad. Has always worked in the past. Although there was one place I created in July that hadn’t updated the photo.

Doing this on iPhone as well. Have logged off and back in again. Still no change.

I have. That just downloads data doesn’t seem to upload photos.

Doesn’t seem to be synching at all. I edited a place name whilst using the app on iPad and it didn’t change when I opened the app on my phone. (Edit: it does now but photos still are waiting to sync. NBN is 100/40 so shouldn’t take long to upload)

I can create a new place and it uploads, goes from orange to green. That updates now across devices.

Further to this, if I add the photos by editing my places on the website then they upload properly. Seems they won’t go from my devices to the database but will come back from the database (internet) to the devices.

Could this be a Private Relay thing? I did try turning it off but it still didn’t work.

Same with mine on Android. It's stuck on "Sync Pending".

Thanks for the feedback. Was waiting to see if there was a fix before reporting it to the 'admin' team. Will wait and see if there is an update to fix this bug.

In the mean time I can upload photos through the web browser if necessary.

Frank can you please contact me via email about your ability to duplicate this issue as we cannot find a single reproduceable case so i'd be very interested to see how you managed to duplicate it as a test please.

My issue was also resolved a few days ago. It turns out that if a photo upload fails the photo stays in the queue and blocks it, preventing subsequent uploads. My failed upload was months ago, though I didn't know it had failed because I didn'tcheck to see if the upload was successful. So the blockage was there all that time and only became apparent when I tried a test in response to Denmark's report.

Wayne this is not an app specific bug because it is not occurring for all users, and not even specific to one platform and there is no common link between those that say they have experienced this.

I would suggest just close your app (full close swipe app away) and restart app. This will give the app a reboot. Then try again. If you still get an issue close the app down again and also close all other open apps. And then after that do a power off and restart your device. If the problem continues could you please raise a support ticket via the Help Desk.

Thanks Michelle. Still does it after a full reboot of the iPad. It’s not running on other devices either. Still says “Sync Pending”. I’ll put details in via a help desk request.

Got this fixed with help via help request. In my case needed to rest settings. This logged me out. Logged back in and away we went being able to upload again. I’d suggest getting assistance from the team at ExplorOz if this effects your device too.
