Hi Mark

All I can say is good on the Police.

There are far too many idiots that think such places are racetracks.

Well done QLD Police.

There should be more of these campaigns, particularly during holiday weekends. This sort of behaviour is not acceptable on good sealed roads, it is even more dangerous on sand tracks.

People have died there hooning. Donuts and rollovers, no seatbelts. I don’t enjoy going there anymore. My first visit was in 1978 driving from Noosa to Inskip Point and on to Fraser Island, in those days you rarely saw another vehicle. More Police more often might rein in the stupidity.

Easter camping mess at Sandy Cape campsite

Another article showing the mess left by campers over Easter. Sandy Cape has a toilets provided area and a self-contained area. People are obviously camping in the self-contained areas without toilets. They are now considering tightening up campsite use.

It would be good if this and the above police actions show a move towards enforcing more responsible camping/4wding behaviours before they simply stop access...

Cheers,
Mark
