We are looking for a cheap 2nd-hand car mounted 40 channel UHF transceiver for our scout vehicle. When we go on bushwalks we give each
child a hand held UHF for emergency use. We need a working 2nd-hand car mounted 5 watt UHF for our main vehicle, in case the kids get into trouble. Can anyone help please?

Might pay to try a
shop that sells/repairs UHF radios. They might like to donate one to such a worthy cause. I used to work in a radio sales/repairs
shop and we used to have old radios laying around that were not too much use to us except for spare parts.
