Follow up post for 27266 ,,for those interested , gave the cruiser the oil and filter change as per instructions , now an 80 series turbo diesel takes 9.6lt of oil when changing filter as well , 9.2 approx + .4 in filter , added the flushing oil concentrate at the recomended rate of 12.5ml per lt of oil ,,ran engine up to normal operating temp and included a drive to get oil nice and hot , drained oil into a graduated bucket ,, 11lts of the blackest oil/sludge removed . Claim 1 of CEM proven correct !! Will wait and see if other claims prove true.. And no I do NOT have a vested interest in CEM.

Would there be any benefit in doing Step 1 twice? If you drained out really black sludge the first time, is it worth while refilling with fresh oil and changing the filter again to drain any more sludge out? Or is once enough due to the cost factor?

CEM recommend an ongoing maintenace regime after initial flush ,used 125ml for flush and intend to use left over 125ml over the next 10 oil and filter changes by adding 12.5ml to hot engine ,letting circulate before drain..
