Hello all,

Just a brief note to say our trip is going well, but unfortunately there is only 3 weeks to go. Since Alice Springs James and I have been to:

Drysdale Station (James had his 9th birthday here, thanks to Anne, Cookie and staff for making a birthday cake and keeping it a surprise.)

Fitzroy Crossing
Derby
Broome
Cape Leveque
Port Smith
80 Mile Beach
Marble Bar
Newman
Karijini NP
Cape Range NP
Coral Bay
Denham
Cape Peron
Kalbarri
Cervantes
Perth

We have seen some great sites, met some great people and are having a ball. James has enjoyed his helicopter rides, plane flight, boat cruises, snorkelling, swimming, walks etc. He is a joy to have as a son and as a travelling partner as it is only him and I.

I have only suffered 2 punctures (2 new tyres required) and the truck is being serviced as I write this. The radiator has sprung leak that will be fixed this afternoon otherwise I have had no majr mechanical hic ups.

We are off to Rotnest tomorrow before we head east to Kalgoorlie, then up to cross into SA via the Anne Beadell. From Coober Pedy we will struggle home via Peterborough to catch up with Willem, before returning to Vic in time to return to work on the 19th Sept...boo hoo :(

Cheers and I will post a fuller picture of our trip when I return to Melbourne.

Glad to hear that you are still having a great time.

We arrived home 2 weeks ago and at present I am rebuilding all the storage drawers in the truck and trailer for the next trip......................:-)

Sounds like you are having a great time Glenn and James. Must say I am a bit envious though. I hope you have some good video and pictures for next time we see you. By the way, I still don't have that video of Moses thumping over the rocks.
