I'm searching for info on campsites on Francois Peron National Park in Shark Bay. What's there and what to expect.

Bottle Bay. Unbeatable. Just lower your tyre pressure getting in.

Cheers. Mick

leggo,

the majority of the campsites throughout the park are exposed - only a couple have shade. they are all designated sites (as national parks are) and most of these are very sandy.

most (maybe all) of the camp sites are on the beach or lagoon.

have fun. look out for redbacks!

Thanks for the guidance. Taking the family for their first real bush trip in October. Just needed to know what was there so we could prepare properly.
Cheers

Hi, did you read the trek note for Shark Bay and Steep Point? The feedback might be helpful. Beware of the incessant SW winds - one reason why Denham can get 1/3 of its power from wind turbines. Cape Peron North is fantastic and you can do it in a day from Denham as its only 80km return on the sandy 4WD track. Make sure you have a soak in the hot tub at the Rangers station. Very relaxing with a beer! Also in the trek section you can scroll down to waypoints and click on each to see pix. Cheers, Warrie
