Can anyone set me straight on this, i have the free version of t4A on my garmin nuvi 760 and also the
shonkymaps. Is this oztopo v2 an updated version of the t4A pro that was about $50, if so am I going to get any better mapping than I already have in the shonymaps and free t4a for the extra $229.
Any other suggestions for mapping coverage for nat parks, forestry in QLD in particular would be appreciated

Hi jedboy70,
Yes you will get heaps better mapping with the New oztopoV2 when it is released sometime in January, if you can prove you have brought the version 1 all you need is to buy the update at a cheaper price.
But I'm not sure if the T4Apro is the topo version
The Explorer could answer that question, he's the man
BTW I have just gone and brought the Nuvi 760 today for $700 and I paid an extra $50 for the 3 year warranty

Thanks have had
mine for a week and really happy with it, did some driving out around Kenilworth and the
shonkymaps seem a little inaccurate but who's complaining considering the bloke who did them has made them available to all for free. I just don't want to pay $229 for maps that aren't much better
Cheers

Hello - best bet is to ring
GPSOZ, the guys who are compiling OztopoV2, and ask them as many questions you can about the quality of the map data. While I can only go on what I have said and been told (by them) - I am pretty sure it has a lot more detail than the free maps floating around.
Cheers

"While I can only go on what I have said and been told (by them)"
Should have been
"While I can only go on what I have seen (on website) and been told (by them)"
Cheers

If you have not got the fully paid for version of T4A you will not get the upgrade ,free versions don't count, you will need to pay the full price,
The difference between oztopo v2 and T4A is that they are not related although the upgrade will merge in with T4A, I was told by GPS OZ the differeence between T4A and oztopo v2 is like Pre-School and Uni, So if I would suggest trashing the other outdated stuff and get yourself a full copy and do your Nuvi 760 justice .
