Grandma June
Has anyone who visited the NT this season called in at
Elsey National Park?
I’m not referring to the
Mataranka Hot Springs area or
Bitter Springs, but the 12 Mile Yard (Julmurark)
campground on
John Hauser Drive?
Would love to hear from anyone who called in there this year what they thought of that particular
campground (Julmurark).
Many thanks in advance.

I camped at 12 mile yard in late July. Quite a reasonable
campground. Had an ablution block (
toilets and showers), and seperate areas for caravans and tent camping. Plenty of space, and quite a few trees for shade. Cost the standard $6.60 per person for an NT national park
campground. It wasn't too busy either, as many people stayed in the caravan parks that are around
Mataranka. You can swim in the river down the back of the
campground as
well (not thermal though).
Hope the info helps ............
John
