The poles and ropes must be stored separately. Quite impressive though.

They were at the 4x4 and outdoors show in
Melbourne and quite an innovation. That was the show that people said on EO "there was nothing new". I found the new VMS there and was impressed enough. I am sure they were at other shows too.

Awning looks good. I wonder if the horizontal pole that sticks out at the back will hit a landcruiser tailgate.
Also wondering how sturdy the material is for the awning - oztent says "Made from the same high quality material (rip-stop polycotton canvas) used in the OZTENT" but it looks a bit lighter to me.
Still, quite a good design if it is all sturdy enough.

Very interesting.
I'd like to see it being put up in the sorts of winds we got in the Simpson in October. Once up I think it would be strong enough, but until you had the poles in and tensioned, it could be very fragile. We had a great design for our
home made awning. I thought it was windproof - and it was shredded.

I was thinking more of the frame. Once the poles were in and tensioned it looks OK. Until then?
