Got Bored to-day..lol., so had a play out the front of our place seeing which vehicle could climb up the 2mtr batter beside the driveway.with the least amount of effort , there is no square approach to this bank ,so as soon as the left front starts the incline the drivers side is near off the ground. Now in three attempts with both at exactley the same approach, i had to engage the centre diff lock with the defender , or it was just no Go!!. The cruiser walked up each time without the c/d engaged!. I'm a bit gob smacked actually as i thought the deefer would have been the prize pony in this situation,SWMBO thinks its hillarious!!( Bitch), Its got me thinking though that in some cases ,to much wheel travel allowance can be a hinderance , Maybe??.

Cheers Axle.

Axle,

The Toyota 100 with IFS is very under rated beast.

Mine does have a 2" lift, but often surprise some of the guys with the big trucks.

Beginning to think so Tony!, surprised me just how well it kept traction to the ground.

Yep i have played like that out the front of my place,i live on a dirt road and it is fairly steep with a washed out valley they call a drain. the cruiser just crawls up and down with little or no fuss thru this drain. i have had it crossed up with opposing wheels on the bump stops and it is surprising how much they do flex,i am more than happy with that. but if i really want to get myself in the chit just turn the front and rear lockers on and go play in the mud !!
