Long time member Footloose or Footy to some who sadly passed away recently was suitably remembered at St George when Steve [Geriatric Gypsies] proposed a toast to Footy around the campfire and all attendees were upstanding as we all had a drink for him and then sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow"
I'm sure Footy would be impressed
Well done Steve
Cheers Ray

I am GLAD you like to RUB it in.

In the future I will get YOU to do all my trip reports.

If you noticed in my post about the trip report I had said it was work in progress.

Ray,

Thanks for the reminder, yet another thing to add to the Trip report. I came very close to missing the toast as I was off arranging something.

I am sure Footy would have felt humbled at the gesture.

Cheers Kev

Team,
Jim was well respected everywhere he went, have a quick look at the homepage on LCOOL

For another reminder of the quality of the bloke.

After seeing this thread the other day, I sent an email to Footy's family and received this reply just now.

Hi Brian & Gayleen

What a splendid remembrance for "Footy"
Jim's son Mark took "Footys Cruiser" on a long remembrance trip recently too. He said it went like a bird especially on the way home.

Thanks a million to you all for your wonderful tribute to a great bloke.

Cheers

Jim's family

Hi Ray,
When Steve gave toast to Footy, I felt I was amongst a very special group of people even though I didn't know him or his family personally.
“And so say all of us”
