Hello
I have a wind up campervan which has a broken 3 way fridge in it.
I already have another 3 way fridge which is similar to a finch fridge, I'd like to replace the broken fridge with this chest style fridge as it works
well.
the existing fridge has a front opening door and is fairly
well sealed so that the heat and exhaust from the fridge exits the van through the external vents.
My problem is that the chest style fridge has its controls on the top rear of the fridge.
I could fashion some sort of barrier to direct the exhaust but would need to make it easily removable for start-up and making adjustments.
Does anyone know what regulations or guidelines / rules are for installing these fridges into vans ?

The big issue is the fluing as these things can emit Carbon Monoxide, kill you quick in your bed.

Australian Standard 5601 specifies
the requirements relating to:
• location of gas cylinder(s)
• gas cylinder compartments
• prohibited appliances
• fl uing
• appliance ventilation
• consumer instructions that need
to be displayed.

The regs also require the installation to be performed by a qualified person.
Cheers,

Well I pulled the old fridge out and rolled it around a few times, gave it a few taps with the magic shifter and it seems to be working really
well now.
I wonder how long it will last.
