I'm looking at buying an Iveco Daily delivery van 2008 manual 3 litre diesel, high roof long wheel base.

Appreciate anyone that has ideas on what to check on vehicle inspection. Out of the ordinary that. Do they have any common faults? Carl

Carl, we have a table top version for our work truck. It goes like the clappers mechanically, however, its the little cosmetic things that let it down a bit.
Door handles were loose and falling off, headrests were the same and 2 of them broke and had to be returned under warranty.

cheers Unc

Hiya Carl
We have an Iveco 40-10 Daily 4WD version. Just back from 5 weeks sorta outback travel. Ours has the 2.8 litre turbo diesel.
Have had it for 2 years with no great probs. There are a few 'non-genuine' parts avialble for servicing like filters, belts, hoses brakes etc.
Speaking to a few people that have the Fiat Ducato version, all wish they had gone for the Iveco.
I don't know of any common faults- i guess an inspection would be like any other vehicle for its age.
Oh- if it's a torsion bar front end- check the bushes where the bars go into the upper control arms, and normal things like pinion and axle oil seals.
All good.

Carl,
I was at work when I saw your post and asked an Iveco owner if he had any problems with his truck, which is a crew cab unit 2+yrs old and running on it's GVM all the time. It is a work vehicle and does many highway K's out of Cloncurry.

Only problems he has had, are a few electrical problems.
