Hi All

We live in Darwin and are looking to go to (already booked in) Kakadu with our boat on 27th to 30th of next week. Can anyone point us in the right direction to get current info as to where we can launch? We know for a fact that some of the info on the following site is out of date (very) http://kakadu.com.au/access so are somewhat reluctant to trust anything else it says. Have emailed the parks site and are awaiting a response. We realise some of the park is closed so it is probably easier to be told what is open.
Thanks

Lyndon & Bernadette

"Plumber" and Di "used" to manage it a few years ago, not sure they are still there, if so they will be able to fill you in with all details needed ............
A few names i know in Jabiru are Shane n Sandie, Jason n Renee, both very keen fisho's and still live there, "Shane" was doing "Boab Boat Hire" in Jabiru, call Shane and Sandy on 0402 771172 and say hi from Joe n Mel n Kids and he will help you out for where you can go......
I dont know how much rain you have had up there but it cuts out a lot of sites in Kakadu for getting a boat in......
Love that place in the wet..
Cheers and good luck
Joe

thanks, but as mentioned above I know for a fact that is is way out of date. See what it says about Anbangbang, I was there weeks after it was "closed" and it was not closed.

Cheers

Lyndon

I’m a little confused then, using normal logic reading this report, example Anbangbang, “Closed 4/11/10” one would assume you would read this as having been closed since the 4/11/10, not just closed on that particular day. Fact is it hasn’t been closed since 4/11/10, this is just one example that I know of.
Maybe you can explain it in a way that makes sense?

Cheers Lyndon
