Hi All,
Thinking of changing tug to Triton diesel 4x4 current model. Van ATM 1800kg. Stay mostly on the black top, but options good. Any actual experience or camp fire (second hand) feed back appreciated.
Kind Regards
Hope your on the road or settled for the day with a beer red or white

I've been towing my 2 tonne van with the ML which had a 3.2 diesel and tows up to 2.3 tonnes. The later 2.5 has more power and torque and can tow up to 2.7 tonnes in the twin cab ute format I think.

I have found it a great tow vehicle, done over 100,000 most of that towing the van. No problems at all so far. Very economical, heaps of power.

Hi Len,
We have a ML Triton DiD 2.5l diesel and tow our 18' tandem Paramount full height van which with our gear would be a tad over 2t and the Triton tows it with ease.

Towing we get, in good conditions around 14l/100km to worse case 19l/100km.

Non towing is between 8 - 10l/100km.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Cheers Neil
