Yowah Opal field is on the edge of the town of
Yowah. There is a public
fossicking area, so yo u can try your luck. The best
places have been taken by miner's with leases. The
Yowah nut opal is what you are looking for. Some local mines have tours. If in town
check to see when the local opal markets are on, and the miners bring out thier wares, best chance to see some opal.
