<span class="highlight">Dogs</span> at Lake Argyle

We are busy planning a trip for next year. We are taking our two girls, Spirit and Roo this time. One of our stops will be at the Lake Argyle Resort. We have been informed by them that the girls will be welcome.

We were just wondering. Are there any local places or facilities where we can board them for a day or a two days and a night? We'd like to go to the Bungles on a day trip and obviously the girls can't come on that one.

Any info would be great.

Cheers guys.

Yes you are correct, Lake Argyle Resort / Caravan park is pet freindly and one of the nicest places we have stayed at with our little travel companion ( dog). Great walks and a variety of river and lake cruises.
We also went to the Bungles with our little dog however as you know, you can't take pets into the national park. There is a relatively new park on Mable Downs station called Bungle Bungle Caravan park and they are pet friendly and only 1km off the highway on a good all weather gravel road. We were able to leave our dog in the van for the day as he sleeps 80% of the day anyway and the staff checked on him regularly. They also offer a day care service if you need. (Not sure of cost - if any for this service). Was a nice spot to camp but the 52km drive into the park was a bit rough so perhaps one of the tours may be best.

Cheers

Jeez, they know how to charge don't they? The youngest of our two teens will be 16 if we go as planned next year. So 4 X $14 per adult + $7 for power + 10% if you just happen to be going between June and August. $70 and that's this year's rates. Think we'll go bush. Maybe worth it for a couple of nights bearing in mind our two doggies.
