Hi Rebecca,

Sorry to say it but Cgear is shade cloth. There is shade cloth and there is shade cloth.

Hi Rebecca,

Answer to your question is an emphatic "NO". Expensive but great stuff. Do it once, do it right. Could buy shade cloth over and over and over and never be quite happy with it.

No affiliations etc, just a very happy owner.

Regards,

Mark

Another very happy customer! bite the bullet and get the good stuff as said before do it right once! although we got ours and it was smaller than the bag had stated, rang them up and they offered to replace it with the right size or send out another smaller matt to make up for it! very happy!

Hi Rebecca. Coast to Coast RV had annex flooring on special a couple of months ago. I bought the 5m long mat and it is every bit as good as my Brother's cgear. We were camped together and even he was impressed. Can't comment on the longevity but mine was under $90. Cheers,Bob.

Hi Rebecca

Like you, we did look around. We had a large piece of shade cloth that we would use as a ground sheet. It was slippery and in sandy country, if you walked on it, the sand would makes its way through.

We bit the bullet and paid the dearer price for the Cgear matting and have never regretted the purchase. It is not slippery like our old garden shade cloth and when used in sand is fantastic.

Cheers

Cgear matting may be good, but it is unbelievably bulky, I bought one online & it is sitting in the shed, way too big to cart around.
Shade cloth has 2 sides, one is slippery & the other isn't!

We have a Cgear matting and find it very good. As a matter of interest we had ours down once and some bread crumbs etc had been dropped on it and fell below the top layer .The next morning we found that the birds had pecked holes in the matting to get to the crumbs. Regardsjohn y

Yes Rebecca there is. Comes in a roll and you purchase per metre, 2.6m wide. Half the price of cgear, non-slip and bought at my local Camping World store. Called EMP annex matting.

Hi Rebecca,

Cgear and Camec are pretty much the same business. Coast to Coast is another manufacturer. Both very good products and use similar materials. Neither matts will disappoint.
