Hi All,

We are looking into having a few days just after new year at the Manna Gum camping area in the Main Range Nat. park QLD, does anyone know what it would be like at this time of year with crowds and weather / park conditions ? we will be tent camping.

The national parks Goomburra site says there is no showers but Camps 5 says there is, is there two different sections to the park?.

Any other info would be appreciated as we are keen to have a few days camping in this area before going to the Bunya Mtn's for a family gathering.

Thanks
Trevor

You will need to book on line for the National Park Goomburra sites and numbers are limited as it is not a very large campground, so you should not be overcrowded but they could be full already. When we were there a couple of years ago there were no showers and a composting toilet. The web site should give current details. There is also a privately owned caravan park nearby by the creek with good facilities and fireplaces. Expect most places in SE Qld to be pretty full during summer school holidays! Lynne
