Looking to fit Maxis 275/70/R16's to my 80 series Cruiser. Any comment regarding tyre performance, km's etc would be appreciated. Have looked at the others, BF Googrich, Coopers etc however at almost $300.00 cheaper for a set it's a matter of buy three get the fourth for free !

They are a very cheap tyre to buy , I have only used the muddies ( buckshot mudders) I found them to ge a good mud tyre for the money . Beware of the very soft side walls though , they do like to pop very easily. I now tun BFG muddies and prefer them . Also note that they do ware out real quick . You get alot more meat in a BFG to start with also . So long term they work out to be the same money .

when we were selling them instead of people coming back for a 10000k rotation and balance they were coming in for a new set of tyres.

Peter swears by them he only uses maxxis buck shot mudders and to date never had a punture.
Trips they have done [not on the same set]
The cape 50-60 times
Canning 8 times
and many many more trips.
Peter pays full price for every set.
Peter has never ruined a side wall to date.
All the best
Eric
