This building was a prominent hotel on the main road into Romsey until the late 1800s. Sometime between 1968 and 1976 the weatherboards were removed and the structure re-clad with pieces of old corrugated iron as it stands today. Burke & Wills passed by here on their 4th day of the expedition.
