The view at the base of
Mackenzie Falls is spectacular. Water swells and
cascades over ancient rocks churning the water below. Despite its beauty, many people have been seriously injured or have died. from undertaking the steep walk, swimming, or slipping on the rocks.The walk down to the falls is steep and strenuous with over 260 steep narrow steps and is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Carrying plenty of drinking water is strongly advised. If you have heart or other health issues, consider walking to the lookouts instead of descending to the falls. Take all your rubbish with you when you leave.
