I have been bogged for 2 days on Mt Bundy Station, but didn't have to worry about the tide coming in.

Hi Doug,

This one's made its rounds before. Still worth a watch though!

One has to admire the angelic level of patience exercised by these two. I know if it was me, things would be thrown around! And the camera man would be deceased lol.

Based on their other videos, I sometimes get the impression that they go looking for bog holes.

At least they both (just) made it out safely.

hadn't seen that one before. They did well to get that vehicle out.

Many years ago, I had run through a creek in a truck about 5 times through the day to access our dozers, on the 5th crossing I broke the crust and down to the chassis rails I went.

Pretty easy recovery except for the 5 kilometre walk to the dozer.

That's how I got bogged on Mt Bundy, I was going to rescue the Station Triton but ran on the same wheel tracks and broke the crust'

We "lost" an Army Landrover up in the Shoalwater Training Grounds, near Rockhampton, back in early 1966. We were going fishing and broke through and ended up very much like that but with all four wheels down. You know the type of mud - the stuff mangroves grow in. A few inches of nice hard crust and even your foot wouldn't hold you up.

By the time we walked back to camp and got the wrecker all you could see was the top of the windscreen. The boss just wrote it off. Lots of washing dishes for us. And not one solitary fish was caught! The only day off in the month that we were there.
