Reversing Camera/GPS maps

pling


I saw a Nissan Patrol at a Wyong shopping centre fitted with a reversing camera and they were setting up the screen to run GPS mapping when not being used as a camera.

I have lost the brochure.

Has any one fitted a unit or do they know who the company is supplying the units.

The latest model GU has the option of a factory fitted reversing camera/GPS nav system.

If you can afford the top range models it comes standard.

I couldn't justify the $3000 extra to have my ST fitted.

Not sure if it's the same pne but if you google search for "Lilliput" screen this is in my opinion the best option and the way I will be going when I get enough $ together.
The screens can be purchased as touch screen and two inputs, so 1. reversing camera and 2. computer screen. I'll put and old laptop under a seta or something and mount the screen on the dash to run Oziexplorer and as it's a touch screen you dont need a mouse or keyboard. Cheers

I've already done that. Coyote and found that I still needed the mouse to be able to zero-in on some of the small buttons and icons in Ozi. I got a mini-mouse from Big W, about $25, and is much more precise that the touch screen, which is a bit hit and miss on the Lilliput.

Not familiar with the Lilliput, but the Touchscreen I bought from Jaycar has a plastic stylist which resides in a "holster" at the back of the screen. So providing you can see what you want to "zero in" on, you can activate it with the stylist.

I have one but the 5" screen is still to small for mapping, still use my lap top.

This doesn't solve the two-input problem, but they do seem to have some inexpensive options including a wireless unit that can go on the back of a caravan.

I'm kind of waiting around to get an inexpensive dual purpose system - camera(s) plus navigation. Haven't found one yet.
