Never had a Fullriver, but believe they are great.

I own a Lifeline (USA made and expensive) and also a REMCO (similar price to Fullriver). I'd buy another REMCO at the drop of a hat, they are brilliant.

Jim.

Yes, Jim

That's simply because Remco is a much superior AGM battery.....

Fullriver is an 'entry level' basic AGM battery
Built down to a price - not up to a quality !!

( said by sum1 who cels em - but don't use em )

Jim, as your 'signature message' states -> "Quality is not always expensive"

Quality is NOT expensive as a long term investment and that is what a "quality" AGM Deep Cycle battery is - a LONG TERM investment.

But
there's an absolutely huge market for elcheapo, low priced batteries
so they are there to satisfy a large market segment, cheap batteries.

Hi Mick,

Give Val from Fridge and Solar a call - he's in Qld and sells Fullriver. I have bought AGM batteries from him before and found his prices and service to be excellent.

I'm in Adelaide and got one freighted over from:

Fridge & Solar
PO Box 613
Labrador QLD 4215

I'm sure these people are OK - I did get the battery - but because I wasn't there when it was delivered to my home it was taken away again. I then had to 'phone them (the couriers - can't remember who it was but it was a big mob) and make arrangements for it to be brought out again etc etc etc.

In the end it took over 2 weeks (from memory) from when my credit card was debited to when I actually received the product.

The battery's great but I'd be careful with freight companies - make certan you indicate that the product can be left somewhere if you're out when it is delivered or you'll get the right royal runaround - at least that was my experience.

And I did tell Fridge & Solar about it and that I wasn't happy

Happy days

George

It's for this exact reason that I decided to by a Remco instead of the Fullriver.

The size that fits the cradle in my vehicle is an 80 Ah unit.

The best price I found for the Fullriver HGL80-12 was from www.renewablestore.com.au which was $285 plus $18.70 shipping, a total of $303.70.

You can get a Remco RM12 80Ah from any Whitworth's Marine store for $289 and you don't have the delivery hassle if you are not home when it arrives.

Though both batteries mentioned are AGM technology, the Fullriver HGL series is only a Cranking battery and not a true Deep Cycle STORAGE battery, as the REMCO definitely is...

Hi Mick

I looked at the fullriver from labrador and found that the local dealer could better the price if he could only source them. Ended up buying local and got an ALCO 120a/hr from the battery factory for $360 but haggled hard and bought a intellicharger at the same time.

i get a lot of stuff from the net but decided to go local this time so I could get the warranty and not have to negotiate with some one in another state
