I recommend you to rethink the idea of putting the Oztent inside the main bag.

The Oztent comes with its own waterproof bag and is best placed along one side of your roof rack, rather than trying to slide into the packrack bag.

I strap our Oztent alongside the mesh tray supported by the two rails and also the side of the tray itself. Easy to lift on and off and is secured by a pair of lockable, cut proof straps.

The canvas packa bag I use is for storage of the swags and other camping gear like chairs, tables (all foldable) and anything else that fits.

In my case, both the Outback Mesh Tray and the Canvas Packa Bag are local South Australian made products obtainable from SunShade Products/Roof Rack World in SA.

I would assume other Roof Rack World outlets would have the same, or similar products and because they are specialists in roof racks and accessories, they offer sound advice on what works and what doesn't, what is practical and what is not.
