Hi everyone, I've posted a video of Drafty's camp site as there seems to be little information on the internet. Some info is inaccurate. So whilst staying there, I filmed the campground. Its quite a gem. Bush camping in the proximity of many of Pemberton's highlights!
Cheers Mike

G'day Mike,
Thanks for the video. Has not changed much from all those years back when we stayed there catching up on kids school work.
Of course there was no fancy camp kitchen back then.
Had the pleasure of meeting up with Drafty a number of times. He was always up for a chat & would get so tied up talking he would forget to replenish the paper in the long drop!
He would always give us some extra firewood because he reckoned we were seasoned campers.
Fond memories of our 2 year round Aus trip in the early to mid 90's.

Cheers
Stu

Hey Mike, as we've requested previously, could you actually use the video link rather than a cut and paste of the youtube web address for the video.

Many thanks

Hi Mike

There's a button marked "Video" below where you type in the text of your post.

You should be using this to enter the Youtube link

Hope this helps

Hi Paul, will do in future. Actually didn’t know who was sending realise you were the moderator of the site.
How’s the site going? Seems there’s a lot of competition out there .
Sincerely, Mike

Hi Mike

No, I'm not a moderator. Just trying to help answer your question for more info.

I made the same mistake the first time I posted a video link on this site. Ha !

Guess you live & learn

When you press that Video button Mike, you need to copy and paste only the last 11 digits of the youtube video id. It looks like this cTpeMHCWqIE

The dialogue box actually reminds you to do exactly that so you'll be OK. That will then embed the video in the post as yours now is.

Cheers

Didn't see any signs saying no generators .However, the camp site is in a valley so I dare say it would be noisy!(echo)

Are Mike, you finally got to go back there after my suggestion a few months ago before this coronavirus lockdown. I see you camped in No. 3 campsite which is the biggest and flatest. Great spot but must have been cold at this time of yr. We had mid twentys in January, it was very pleasant. We did a few canoe paddles up and down the river. Is the river flowing now with the recent rains?

Hi Nick, yes as you can see we got there. As it was a Wednesday , there wasn’t many people there. Had the choice of nearly every campsite. There was a camp host setting up in the camp site next to us . Yep it was freezing ( clear skies) . The river wasn’t flowing and was quite low ! A great neck of the woods ! Cheers Mike
