Well i have finally held down a permanant job long enough to rack up a months holiday which will be my first since May 03
At the moment i am thinking of doing a Gascoyne/Murchison trip including Collier range NP and Kennedy rangeNp with the highlight being a trip to a place i have wanted to go for ages - Mt Augustus. Then another look at the Coral coast now I have a 4by with a better look on the way back at KaranjiniNp as i didnt spend long enough last trip in 98.
Other options are a South West trip As I havent been further than Walpole or a trip to See the Folks In SA checking out a few spots on the Nullabor with some Mullaway fishing at the Head of the Bight as well as another look around my old stamping areas around Venus Bay as well as the Gawler ranges NP as I havnr been there since it was made a NP
Time of year doesnt matter as i am looking at going any time in the first half of next year
Any other Suggestions?

Hi Davoe - how late into the first half of the year? What about the Kimberley - I thought you'd covered much of the state, but don't know if you've been that far. We haven't yet (apart from stops at the ports from when we travelled by ship, and my husband as flown to a few key towns when he worked for a Govt. Dept). We are hoping to get there one day.

Had a look around the kimberlys in 03. Then problem with the area it is hard to make them into a loop which I like doing so I am not retracing my steps. the trip took 6 weeks and went Kal-Pt headland - Broome- Kunnunurra - Katherine - Darwin - Alice - Ularu _ Kal via gcr

Davoe,
Along the south coast thru to the south west, the possibilities are endless. If going north, also consider Rudall River NP, east of Newman. It's an oasis flanked by the Little and Great Sandy Deserts, and really worth the trip.
I recall you've already done lots of south coast trips east of Esperance. Top country.

Davoe,
You can't go past the Kimberley. Highlights on the way, if you went the coast way include Steep Point and Shark Bay, Cape Range, 80 mile beach and plenty of others in between. We probably appreciated it more cause it's so far away from NSW, but then again, I think we'd appreciate it if we lived there to,

Best time of year for Mt Augustus is around Sept Oct. Not too hot, perfect weather and all the wild flowers are doing their thing.

Last time I checked Cape York was not in WA! But after reading your posts over recent times I get the feeling that you may have seen a lot of WA already - so a trip to the Cape would make a pleasant change. Hope to be up there (Cape Melville) in Sept next year as well.

Mate, for me one visit to the Kimberley just isn't enough and I'll be happy to retrace my steps the sooner the better I reckon. So I wouldn't write that one off either.

Kind regards
