Hi guys, any information regarding Surfs would be appreciated, such as worth while accessories, modifications, alterations etc. look, i dont want a brand bashing like some people have given landrovers, i appreciate that not everyone is a fan of every sort of vehicle. GENUINE RESPONSES ONLY PLEASE!!!!!

Jono, My husband (and I) have a 3 litre diesel turbo 1994 Toyota Surf. It's brilliant, economic fuel wise. We are in a 4WD club and with our new tyres, long range fuel tank, false floor with drawers for all our "stuff", we sleep in the vehicle. Best thing! BUT, a word of warning, we haven't heard many good things about the 2 litre Surf's. Especially if they are turbo. Motor is too small for the turbo.

jono I have a 2.4 surf and if I had more money
I would have 2 of them in the drive way .But I
have talked to (some) who just bag them and have
never been in one(so called 4X4 experts)
i tow a fully loaded camper with 4 on board
and have to slow down with the mates (99) nissan
in front of us because it is so slow just keep up the service and they go forever

Hey Jono, my brother has an 88 Surf with 2.4 Turbo diesel. It is lifted with 265/75/16 BFG AT. The car is great, no problems at all. Just little things like windscreen wipers, I think the oil cleaner too are not Hilux items, so just requires a little more effort when searching for parts.
