Hi, just wondering if anyone out there had a template for a safari snorkel to fit it to a 1985 hj75 troopy with a 2h diesel. I would just love a lend or a copy of one to help me fit it to the troopy cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Do you have the Safari snorkel already? May not be relevant in your case but when
my son fitted an Ironman snorkel to his Maverick/Nissan a template was included with his purchase.

Try ringing Safari, they may supply a template for their product.

Hi Andrew
I did the same secondhand you can make a template easily get some light cardboard you can buy big sheets at the newsagent
1 - cut a hole for the air intake near one end
2 - place the card over the intake so the card covers the base of thesnorkel and tape in place
3 - you will be able to locate the mounting holes and cut holes to suit
4 - draw the out line of the snorkel
5 - to locate it, someone on here will be able the location - distance from top of guard to snorkel and distance back from front of guard etc
That's what i did and all worked fine
Measure twice to make sure and cover the area you are cutting with masking tape to protect the paint from slips and scratches
Cheers Kev
