Ravensthorpe is a two pub town. It has an
Iga Store with what has to be the first
shop I have ever seen with wooden verandah and carpet indoors. The
Iga store is a
supermarket and hardware come everything else you could possibly want. A one stop
shop!
Great base for day trips to
Hopetoun, Fitzgerald National Park and bushwalking. Mining is a constant companion to
Ravensthorpe so
fossicking is a bit of a problem but lots of scenery. Take the scenic drive to the look out on Floater Road it is
well worth it. 360 degree
views. The bush contains an array of flora and fauna.
