DEC
campground - dogs permitted (on lead at all times).
I recommend a muzzle to prevent eating from the ground as the area is in the 'Western Shield' baiting region.
Basic facilities... long drop
toilets, Gas BBQs and covered eating area in the Group sites about 100m uphill from the Brook.
Individual camps are down the
hill closer to the water.
BYO
drinking water.
Some firewood may be available (fire restrictions apply) but most likely green mill ends.
A truckload was delivered while we were there.
DEC
Camp Hosts were in situ a couple of years ago... Easter/Mothers Day period.
Very helpful with local knowledge and daily cleaning of ablutions, gas BBQs and covered area.
There is a critically endangered frog, Geocrinia Alba (White Bellied Frog), which inhabits the Chapman Brook area.
