I have heard of 2 owners now who have had their front window covers blow off in transit.
Any ideas on a neat securing method over and above the existing clips and tightening the adjustment screws.
Thanks

I also have had a front window cover depart during a trip. Don't know where or when other than on the Pacific Hwy.
As they are very insecurely fastened, I am not sure what the best fix is. I had reflective tape affixed at locking position of the latches and still lost one.
My fix has been too extreme for most as on my new van, I went for the no leaks and no covers flying off method of not having any front windows (or rear for that matter).
Hope someone can come up with a suitable modification to provide peace of mind.

Thanks Stretch.
The missus loves the front window so I will keep looking.

Same happened to me with our old Jayco Discovery Outback, which we no longer have. There was too much play between the fixed retaining clips and the levers that are supposed to engage with them. Ours flew off somewhere between
broken Hill and
Cobar. We had to order new ones which were better but I took no chances and used some fencing wire twisted around the two clips with a pair of pliers. Bit of a nuisance to have to do that and we didn't always open the cover as often as we might, as a result.

Thanks Steve
I have found some stainless steel swinging toggles on the net which will be easy to fit, be functional and look neat. ($7 odd each)
