They were going for 38 here but l don't think it'll get anywhere near it.
We'll see.

I know you don't have air in the stone house. What is the temp in there on a hot day Willem. BEAM ME UP SCOTTY

G'day Ray,

The house is 12 degrees cooler in summer and 10 degrees warmer in winter. Our outside walls are 60cm thick and our ceilings are 3.6m high. We also have insulation covering the whole roof area.

Expecting 28 inside today. At present it is 24.

CheersWillem

We are up to 36 so far. Summer has finally arrived. We should have about 2 months of this and then the cool will start to set in again and by July we will be wishing we were somewhere else as temps drop to -5 and up to -10.

If one had all the time in the world to travel one would spend April and September at home May,June,July, August in the Top End, October,November,December, Jauary,February,March in Southern Victoria and Tasmania.

Alternatively one can go an live at Byron Bay on the East Coast or Carnarvon on the West Coast where the temps are pretty mild.

One can only but dream............Willem

I am in Mackay and it has taken me a good 40 min(I guess ) just to be able to get to the response box here. I am also finding a number of other Australian web sites are unable to be reached.

I think Telstra had problems with a fibre optic cable in Brisbane through the week and the out network link to Brisbane dropped out several times as well.

Too much rain a big possibility.

Hi guys,

Gee I am glad to see that you miss us when we are away. The ISP was attacked by a DOS (Denial of Service) attack yesterday afternoon. This basically caused their entire network to fail and over 100,000 websites were effected. The system is coming back however they still indicate that services may be a little up and down for this morning.

I will wait to see the official details when they send out the network status information. However I was advised of the above on the phone last night.

Sorry guys get your fix now we are back.Regards
