Camping turns night owls into early birds.
A new study has found a simple and drug-free way to ensure a good night's sleep - go camping.
By increasing our exposure to sunlight and reducing our exposure to electrical lighting at night, we can turn our internal clock and sleep times back, and likely make it easier to awaken and be alert in the morning

I can agree with that. Providing there are no extras around, like tvs, you can find themselves in bed at a decent hour. As for getting up, I can still sleep in if I want to. Which is allowed.... I'm camping.

We mostly get to
camp late in the afternoon or end up somewhere you can't have a fire so we go to bed to avoid the cold. Being a light sleeper and after 6 hours of maximum sleep, I'm usually awake really early so it doesn't work that
well for me. I'm usually up early with the kettle on ! Michael.

Yeah I'm a believer. Every trip we've taken has resulted in better sleep and a general feeling of extra energy and wellbeing. Always put it down to fresh air and better eating and maybe more activity. Always sleep
well when travelling>
Kind regards

Could also be that generally when your camping, your on holidays. I always feel better on holidays because I'm doing something I want to do rather something that I need to do. For those of us that stilll work of course.

I have just experienced this. For a few months I had been having trouble getting to sleep before sunrise and had bad reflux night and day but the first night camping and every night since I slept the whole night through waking with the birds for sunrise and for the last 10 days have had no relfux either. My physical and mental health feels 100% better than it was early last week. I was surprised how quickly nature can heal and reset the body clock to default.
