Took the Burke Development road from
Cairns to Kurumba (as an otion on The
Savannah Way) and we camped by a lagoon (of the
Mitchell River) and it was great. Actual position was about 14 kilometres on the
Chillagoe side of Dunbar but not possible to miss it. Some great spots, no crowds, very scenic and a great option if you don't like the blacktop. Road was great with some deteioration on the Dunbar to Kurumba leg, otherwise a good road and we towed our Avan at 100 with a good ride.
