This is a
well-built unit. Having iGo Primo for on-road (street) plus Ezi Ozi for off-road 4WD navigation in one unit conveniently combines electronic navigation into a single compact unit for those big adventures (backed up by an appropriate selection of printed maps). Integration with Camps 7 and Caravan Parks Aust Wide is an added bonus. This unit’s comprehensive included map set puts it ahead of the competition, although as others have commented, a few more-detailed maps for off-road navigation wouldn’t go amiss (even though you can add those yourself). Following three months use in both Australia and New Zealand, we’ve sometimes been frustrated by iGo Primo’s incomplete database missing place names and street numbers while also not having speed limits on some major roads, particularly in NZ, all of which exist in our other navigator. Pronunciation of place/street names was pretty good in Australia, however pronunciation of maori names in New Zealand is often incomprehensible! Investigation into serious reduction of broadcast reception range while the HN6 was running found its 12/24V (cigarette lighter) adaptor produces high levels of radio interference, and is most likely non-compliant with interference regulations. Hopefully these issues will be fixed in future updates, but for now we’ll keep using our previous navigator for most on-road journeys.
