Hi - from previous thread - David posted these sizes...
The ECW files are sized as below:
AUS - 2.82GB
NSW/VIC - 728MB
NT - 495MB
QLD - 0.99GB
SA - 584MB
TAS - 63.8MB
WA - 1.03GB
I hope this helps.
David
No idea what size the files end up when converted...
Cheers

Hello - converted to MudMap format. Jason uses MudMap which uses it own special format. David has only supplied info on ECW file sizes so posted those as a guide. I have assumed the files would end up a different size (slightly ?) when converted, hence my comment.
Of course its good to have you "back" - it means you're not over here in WA stealing our gold :)
Cheers

Hi Jason,
David is the best person to answer your question, however he is currently on annual leave. From what I am aware of, there will be a version of
EOTopo 200K available early next year that will be compatible with Mud Map, and there is also now a MMF file available at 2.5M scale available for free download now (this was the first stage in the creation of the full 200K product).
Please see the
EOTopo Map Free Downloads post for more
information on this, and just let me know if I can be of any further assistance at all.

Hello Adele
There is a converter program on the MudMap website
here which I assume would allow the conversion of the
EOTopo ecw files currently supplied to MM format. So if there are any MM users out there in a hurry that is an option.
Word of warning - There may or may not be a loss in quality using this conversion program on ecw files but I have no idea i.e. it may or may not be worth while waiting till EO release their version as converting from the original files may result in a better outcome - at this stage this is only a question DM can answer.
Cheers
